About me
Brock Bagby serves as the President-Chief Content, Programming & Development Officer for B&B Theatres and is a 4th-generation member of his family-owned 100-year old company.
Brock began his career at B&B Theatres at age 14, working through roles including cleaner, shift leader, assistant manager, and, during college, manager of the company’s top-grossing location.
In his current role, he oversees film programming and bookings, collaborating directly with studios, film buyers, and managers to determine content placement across the circuit. This includes overseeing term negotiations with studios, trailer play, booking commitments, Premium Large Format negotiations any many other daily nuisances in this area. He acts as a key liaison for booking inquiries and lead development initiatives, managing all aspects from initial planning to opening day. This includes overseeing remodels, new builds, and strategic growth opportunities. Brock also oversees facilities maintenance, facilities management and facilities sight and sound. Including all negotiations on new tech and vendor relations.
Brock has been instrumental in developing flagship concepts such as the PLF Grand Screen®, MX4D®, screenPLAY!, Lyric, Screen-X, Max Relax, VIP dine-in Marquee Suites®, and the B-Roll Bowling concept. He also manages emerging technologies, contract negotiations, feasibility studies, payroll, quarterly revenue projections, and long-term planning, including family investments and financial reporting.
An active industry leader, Brock serves on NATO’s Technology Committee, Vision/Mission Task Force, and is the Chairman of the Young NATO Board. He graduated with honors from Missouri State University with a BA in General Business.
His expertise has been featured in The New York Times, CNBC, L.A. Times, Variety,Boxoffice Magazine, Deadline Hollywood, and other major publications. He has spoken or moderated numerous panels including at CinemaCon, ShowEast, CineShow, The Fall Summit, Geneva Convention and more. Brock was also recognized in Boxoffice Magazine’s “Top 40 Under 40 and recently won (along with his siblings) the Dan E Fellman ShowEast award.
