Robert “Fixer” Smith leads Production Technology Innovation at Paramount Global. With over 30 years of experience, he has driven transformative projects that have redefined the media and entertainment industry. In his current role, he provides research, advisory, and consultancy services to all Paramount brands and studios, leveraging his extensive expertise in visual effects (VFX), interactive media, live streaming, concert films, eSports, and 3D technologies for augmented reality (AR) and eCommerce.
Fixer has demonstrated his innovative capabilities through his contributions to pioneering projects, notably playing a key role in developing the content studio and workflows for 16k x 16k resolution at the MSG Sphere, a cutting-edge entertainment venue. His deep understanding of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), allows him to identify and apply advanced solutions that improve the viewer experience and optimize production processes.
Fixer is based in California and is a member of the Producers Guild, the Television Academy, and the Visual Effects Society
