About me
Christian Kennel is the Vice President of Production and Post-Production Technology at FOX Entertainment In Los Angeles, CA. In this role, Christian oversees the team of editors, artists, systems engineers, software engineers and operational staff who support the both the physical productions and the creative marketing teams at FOX Entertainment. Under his leadership, the FOX Entertainment Technology Team has dedicated themselves to empowering production and post-production by integrating world-class support and innovative solutions that both enhance and elevate FOX’s creative process.
Before his current role, Christian served as the Vice President at Warner Bros. Worldwide TV Marketing, but re-joined “New FOX” in 2020 for his “third FOX tour” to build out the FOX Entertainment Technology Team after the FOX/Disney separation. Christian began his FOX career in 2006 with the Networks & Engineering Group, overseeing technical operations for the FOX Sports and FX Marketing Teams, helping them transition from Standard Definition to HD and later file-based workflows. In 2012 he joined 20th Century FOX as Executive Director with the Studio Operations Group, managing the backlot services including Set Lighting, Grip, Transportation, Wardrobe, Paint, Staff, Paint, Sign, and Drapery departments. Under his oversight, all back-lot department achieved profitability in the same year which had never been accomplished.
Prior to his studio posts, Christian built multiple studios for AOL while launching their first internal production division and post group. For the 10 years prior to AOL, Christian freelanced in TV/Film and filling roles in the Camera Department, Editorial, Motion Graphics Artist, Assistant Directing, Production Management, and Art Departments.
Christian is originally from Rochester, NY, he graduated from Cornell University, played professional soccer for the Rochester Rhinos of the A League, is married and is raising two girls, ages eight and eleven. He enjoys soccer, cycling, skiing, photography, and all-things tech.
